In 1903 after a
U.S. proposal for canal rights was rejected by Colombia Panama, with U.S.
support, proclaimed its independence from Colombia.
In 1939 Germany
and the USSR signed the Ribbentrop-Molotov agreement. USSR invaded and annexed
Western Poland, Lithuanian, Latvia and Estonia. (Ukraine and Byelorussia still
benefit from Eastern Poland annexation.)
In 1945, East
Prussia was removed from Germany and was divided between Poland and Russia.
(Still belongs to Russia.)
In 1945, Part of
Eastern Germany was given to Poland. (Has not been returned)
On 8 August 1945
the USSR declared war against Japan. The entire Japanese population of Southern
Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands was repatriated in 1946-1948. Islands were
annexed by USSR. (Islands are still under Russian control.)
On 6 of December
1921 Catholic-dominated Ireland re-gained its independence from Britain. (In
spite of conflict between Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland, UK
still colonies Northern Ireland.)
When Kuwait got
its independence from Britain in 1961, Iraq revived an old claim that Kuwait
had been part of an Ottoman province in southern Iraq and was, therefore,
rightfully Iraq's. (This claim has never been properly addressed.)
By 1979, Morocco
virtually annexed all Western Sahara - formerly Spanish Sahara - Western Sahara
is a region of northwestern Africa.
There are many

and USA that I did not put in this compilation. And, nobody cares!
There are hundreds of Major land disputes around the world. Some of them are even much older and bloodier then Arab-Israel conflict. Only Israel ‘deserved the honor’ of International attention!
